Ingredients:

8 ounces elbow macaroni
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt

2 cups milk
2 cups grated cheddar cheese


Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Whisk in the flour, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the grated cheddar cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well combined.
Pour the macaroni and cheese mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
